About Emerald City

Emerald City is an experimental "Urban Eco-Art Village" in Kansas City, Missouri, revitalizing Troost and East of Troost Neighborhoods.

This area was selected because of the high number of abandoned homes and vacant lots, making it ideal for an infusion of positive energy. It is a beautiful neighborhood with loads of sycamore trees, diverse architecture and close proximity to the Kansas City Arts District (The Kansas City Art Institute, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art), the Jazz District, UMKC and the Country Club Plaza.

We are not developers or planners. We are grass root organizers & urban pioneers with a penchant for art and sustainability and a longing for community.
